I submitted the first twenty double-spaced pages of Haven to the On The Far Side Contest sponsored by the Fantasy, Futuristic and Paranamoral (FF&P) chapter of the RWA. Have to say, 20 pages double-spaced isn’t much to provide. I was able to submit about 1.5 chapters and had to cut it off right when the heroine meets her hot and hunky fated soul mate. Haven placed third in the 2011 Launching a Star Contest in the paranormal category. I’ve revised it since then and like the opening soooo much better. I hope the Far Side judges like it, too. Fingers crossed! Oh wait, no they’re not. I’m typing. Virtual fingers crossed, then. Wish me luck. 😉
