Celia’s Sunset on Summer Reads

As we bid adieu to summer, let’s cozy up with some good books! See my Safari Heat blog hop page for even more recommendations.

  • Sexy Horseman of the Apocalypse – Larissa Ione’s Rogue Rider, book 4, The Lords of Deliverance Series. (paranormal)
  • Vulnerable Tough Guy Vampire – Kresley Cole’s Lothaire, book 12, Immortals After Dark Series. (paranormal)
  • Hot Highlander – Karen Marie Moning’s Kiss of the Highlander, book 4, Highlander Series. (paranormal)
  • Passionate Military Man – Laura Kaye’s One Night With A Hero, Book 2, The Hero Series. (contemporary)
  • Sexy Badass Demon – Rosalie Lario’s Mark of the Sylph, book 2, Demons of Infernum Series. (paranormal)

P.S. Recommend starting each series mentioned above with Book 1.

And lastly, dear readers, I present you with a “first-meet” snippet from my urban fantasy romance, Haven (hot vampire alert!):

Tall, fit, and bad-boy handsome with skin like pale honey, his thick, walnut brown hair hung tousled in a sexy, I-just-got-out-of-bed way. A hip, black, button-down shirt accentuated a sculpted upper body before it tucked into slacks painted on long, lean legs. The whole package made my mouth water.
Hot. Yummy. Totally my type.
“Who are you?” I whispered.
His mouth twitched in a hint of a smile as if he heard me—impossible given the distance between us. Heat spread, loosening my muscles, and my pulse sped up…

  3. Hi Celia,
I’m a huge fan of the paranormal and historical romance genres. I’ve read a bunch of Karen Marie Moning’s Highlander series, minus the most recent, , H.P. Mallory’s Witch series, Denise Domning, Deborah Harkness and recently Haven by Celia Breslin. I’m also a huge fan of the timetravel historical romance as done by Susannah Kearsley and Diana Gabaldon.

    • Hi Melissa,
Thanks for reading Haven! Hope Carina and the vamps entertained you. So you’ve met Jonas, my favorite. :-) He’s the star of Vampire Code (one of the giveaway prize options here). :) I’ll have to check out the HPM witch series, thanks for the recommendation!

  4. Hi Celia,
I’m a huge fan of paranormal, historical and time travel romance, (time travel may fit in with paranormal, but i’ll leave that to the experts to decide) I just recently finished reading your book, Haven. It was such a fun, fast paced read. I’ve read most of Karen Marie Moning’s Highlander series, minus the most recent one, so I’m looking forward to that.
    Cheers!

  5. I haven’t read any of these series (though I have heard of a couple of them). Some of the series I like are Men in Blue, Powertools, & Hot Rods. All of these are by Jayne Rylon

  6. Sadly, I haven’t read any of the series mentioned, but I am a fan of romance. I read all sorts, from YA romance to erotica, historical to SFF. Recently I’m wading through NA romances – it’s an exciting genre at the moment!

  7. Yes, I have read Larissa Ione’s Rogue Rider and Kresley Cole’s Lothaire. Greatly enjoyed both books. For paranormal romance I recommend Sherrilyn Kenyon’s Dark Hunter series and J.R. Ward’s Black Dagger Brotherhood. Thanks for the great giveaway!
